A new training facility for police and firefighters in Yonkers is taking shape with help from local high school students.
Officers said they reached out to the carpentry program at Saunders High School for assistance.
Students spent several days getting hands-on experience by putting up new walls and frames.
The police department said the facility will feature a mock city-scape with rooms for training scenarios once completed.
