Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church in Yonkers celebrated its annual Greek Festival 2024 on Sunday.
The three-day festival kicked off on Friday and offered revelers a variety of Greek foods, homemade pastries and even a chance to do some shopping.
Festival chairperson Marie Xenos says the event helps raise money for the church during the summer. She explained most of the church personnel and staff go away during the season, so the money raised supports the church during this time .
Organizers said the festival, which the church has held for more than two decades, gets bigger and better each year.
