The City of Yonkers has once again secured a perfect score on the Municipal Equality Index, marking its continued dedication to supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
Mayor Mike Spano proudly announced Yonkers' achievement, joining 129 cities out of 506 surveyed across the nation to receive a perfect score of 100.
Yonkers was commended for its comprehensive support, covering non-discrimination laws, municipal services, its role as an employer, law enforcement practices, and outstanding leadership in promoting LGBTQ+ equality.
This remarkable feat marks the city's ninth consecutive year achieving a perfect score, showcasing its ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all its residents.
