A sergeant with the Yonkers Police Department went above her call of duty to ensure a toddler is warm this Christmas season.
While she was helping out at a clothing drive, Sgt. Gillian Otierno noticed a young woman with a 2-year-old child who was not wearing a coat.
Otierno was able to get the child's information and went out to buy him clothes. She delivered a coat, hat and gloves to 2-year-old Aidian and his mother.
"You don't know what anybody is really going through, and to do what's right, what you think is right. If you can even spare time, it doesn't have to be money, it doesn't have to be items. Just time. Donate your time to people in need because everybody needs something," Otierno said.
