Yonkers police say three men from New York City have been arrested in connection to a string of catalytic converter thefts.
Authorities say on March 1 just after 6 a.m. officers were called to Alexander Street for a suspicious vehicle. There were two cars on the scene. They say officers discovered tools commonly used to remove catalytic converters as well as 17 cut catalytic converters.
In addition, police say one of the cars was reported stolen in Suffolk County, Long Island.
All three men are now facing charges and will be prosecuted by the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
Yonkers police say if your catalytic converter was stolen between Feb. 28 and March 1, report it, or else the suspects cannot be charged for the theft.
