The Yonkers Police Department is celebrating 150 years of service to the city.
The department started as a 14-man unit in 1871, and now has evolved into a
department with over 600 officers.
Celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the police department
include special events, historical displays and social media postings taking
place throughout the year.
