Demonstrators gathered in Yonkers on Friday to call for an immediate cease fire in the Israel-Hamas war. Yonkers City Hall's War Memorial served as the backdrop for this cease fire rally against the killing of civilians in Gaza. The protest was organized as a reaction to the humanitarian crisis that has killed more than 7,000 people in the last three weeks, including more than 3,000 children. Organizers told News 12 that this will not be their last rally calling for a cease fire and they will have more demonstrations in Yonkers and beyond.
