child pornography on social media.
Westchester
County District Attorney Mimi Rocah says 41-year-old Demetrious Kotopoulos was
already on probation for a prior sex offense conviction.
He
will serve three to six years in state prison for uploading a file twice
between March 2021 and April 2022 of a nude child engaged in sexual conduct to
the social media platform Discord.
He
also had a video of another child engaged in a sex act.
Kotopoulos
didn’t disclose to the state that he created a new email address between March
2021 and April 2022 – a mandatory measure for sex offenders in New York. It was
that new address where investigators found Kotopoulos’s Discord account.
