2h agoYonkers soccer coach Michael Zepeda, employed at the Charter School of Educational Excellence, has been recognized as regional coach of the year.
Zepeda, a former student of the school, initiated the soccer program in 2014, leading both boys and girls to league and state championships.
The Positive Coaching Alliance will select 10 national winners from regional honorees to receive a $500 cash prize.
