A Hollywood actor and accused cop-killer was back in court Monday with a new lawyer after his former attorney died of cancer last month.Former Soprano cast member Lillo Brancato, Jr., is fighting murder charges stemming from a drug-fueled Bronx robbery that left NYPD officer Daniel Enchoutegui dead. Brancato?s new lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, has defended celebrities like Foxy Brown and ex-police commissioner Bernard Kerik in high profile cases.Police say "The Bronx Tale" star was with Steve Armento when the two broke into a Bronx home, encountered Enchoutegui and got into a gunfight. Enchoutegui died and Brancato was shot. Police suspect Armento was the triggerman. Tacopino is trying to get a separate trial for Brancato. He is also working to get his client?s taped confession thrown out because Brancato was not coherent and was on painkillers when he confessed.More than 100 police officers showed up in court, concerned that the actor would catch a break in the case because of his celebrity status. Brancato will appear in court again November 21.Related Information: Yonkers actor accused in NYPD cop murder wants confession thrown out Yonkers actor, accomplice accused in NYPD cop's death appear in court
