Two women have been charged with theft of services after allegedly leaving a Rye restaurant without paying their bill on Monday evening.
According to a court complaint, 34-year-old Dynisha Thomas, of Yonkers, and 36-year-old Kerensa Stewart, of White Plains, dined at Rye Grill and Bar and accumulated a bill totaling nearly $200.
The complaint alleges the women initially left a gift card to cover the tab.
However, after they departed, the restaurant manager attempted to process the payment and found the card was declined.
The complaint states the manager later located the women near the train tracks and asked them to provide another form of payment.
Police say the women then gave the manager a second gift card.
According to the complaint, the manager asked both women to return to the restaurant to pay the bill, but they refused.
Thomas and Stewart were each charged with one count of theft of services.
