Yorktown glowed for the 14th annual Holiday Electric Lights Parade and Tree Lighting on Saturday, where families packed the streets for an evening of bright floats and holiday fun.

Yorktown Supervisor Ed Lachterman, dressed as Santa, kicked things off with a hearty “Ho, ho, ho!”

More than 60 floats rolled through, with some of the standout winners that included:

  • Signs Ink — Theme Award for their pirate float.

  • Eddie’s Yard — Judges’ Choice.

  • Plitnick Home Fuel, HVAC & Plumbing — Grand Marshal’s Choice for their Polar Express theme.

Yorktown Auto Body treated residents to a free community barbecue before the parade.

The night wrapped up with a tree lighting at Jack DeVito Veterans’ Memorial Field and Track for a festive ending to a cherished local tradition.
