A man jumped off a balcony and fell to his death Wednesday while attempting to evade federal authorities during a drug bust at 2001 Story Ave.
Two women who also allegedly attempted to escape by jumping were injured and wheeled out of the apartment on stretchers.
One of the tenants, Melody Galvez, said she saw a police officer point a gun at three people who were standing on a balcony and ordered them to come down. Galvez said that was when they jumped.
Police said the chaotic FBI drug sting targeted a heroin lab that was set up on the ninth floor of the building, located on a quiet neighborhood block.
According to authorities, a large quantity of drugs and paraphernalia were found inside the apartment. Close to a dozen people were arrested. Their names have not been realeased.
