Brooklyn resident Sally Muschel, 100, sat front row as a special guest during this week’s Hanukkah celebration at the White House.
In a cellphone video recorded by her great-grandson, the centenarian is seen responding to President Donald Trump when he asks about her age.
“100 and two months!” Muschel screamed before thunderous applause from the packed room.
“She’s sharper than most of the people in this room,” Trump replied.
“To have a compliment from the president of the United States, could you imagine?” Muschel told News 12. “Could I ever imagine in my life that this could happen to me? No.”
Muschel is a Holocaust survivor. She said that as a child, she did not know if she’d live to see another day.
“I was hungry,” Muschel told Trump in front of the crowd. “I was alone as a child, and here I am meeting you.”
Muschel said she was separated from her family at just 13 years old. She is the only survivor.
“They told us, ‘You have an hour to pack, and you have to go,’” said Muschel. “I was crying and screaming that I didn’t want to go.”
Despite her pain, Muschel had a special Hanukkah message.
“The people should love everybody,” she said.
