Man charged with causing over $416K in damage to Manorville golf course

A Manorville man was arrested after allegedly causing $416,500 worth of damage at the Pine Hills Golf and Country Club on two separate occasions.

Joseph Manzella, 24, allegedly drove his vehicle on the property of the Manorville golf course on Jan. 13 and Oct. 11 of last year, leading to the damage, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. The SCPD declined to provide further details on the incidents.

Manzella was arrested on Friday in Shirley at 2:17 p.m. in connection with the incidents. He is facing felony charges on two counts of criminal mischief.

Manzella is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.

Representatives at the golf course did not return a request for comment on Friday.
