Daniel Grubert, 49, of Piermont pleaded guilty to boating under the influence.
Police say he was racing another jet ski in October and jumped off before the impact.
The jet ski slammed into another one, injuring the kids.
Grubert was sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to pay about $1,200 to the victims.
