Current and former New York Giants took the field in Rockland County to raise money for charity.
It was the annual Giants softball game — and more — at Clover Stadium in Pomona.
One team featured current players, led by star linebacker Brian Burns. The other was former players, captained by two-time Super Bowl champion running back Brandon Jacobs.
The day included a home run derby, dodgeball, autograph signings and, of course, softball.
New City’s Joe Ruback says this year’s event benefited the Hype for Life Foundation, which supports families impacted by autism:
"What it's all about? Charity, awareness, autism awareness. Anybody can put an event together, raise money. It's not about the dollar amount. This one just happens to be autism awareness."
The event raised $100,000.
