There is a new place in Suffolk County to honor those who served. Meadowbrook Pointe in Medford unveiled its new Veterans Plaza on Sunday.
Dozens clapped after the American flag was proudly raised at the entrance of the 55-and-over community, which is home to many veterans. Residents themselves raised over $20,000 to make the new plaza possible.
