Connecticut residents grabbed their clubs and hit the greens at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course for the third annual Choices Golf Tournament.

Event organizers from Hang Time say the highlight of the charity event wasn't the scorecard; it was the community impact.

"We are so excited to be here at Fairchild Wheeler and Choices is a program that uses formally incarcerated high school athletes as mentors, to reduce violence and help students in urban high schools in Bridgeport and Waterbury, Connecticut,” Hang Time Director Michele Litt stated.

Organizers say the fundraiser will directly benefit young people in Bridgeport and Waterbury -- helping to keep them in school and on the right track.
