Storm-damaged building collapses and leaves three families homeless in Mahopac
Three families are without a home after storm damage caused a partial building collapse in Mahopac.
The collapse happened Monday on See Avenue.
The fire chief said a basement cement wall collapsed because of damage caused by the storm.
The collapse left parts of the structure unstable.
The front porch, chairs and a grill could be seen leaning following the incident.
Crews used planks to help one person safely exit the building.
Officials have condemned the house.
The three families who lived there have been displaced.
