Traffic is moving again on the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway after a crash investigation shut down all three lanes for several hours Friday morning.

The closure was located just south of Dobbs Ferry Road in Greenburgh, where emergency crews blocked the roadway as they responded to the incident.

Traffic is now flowing smoothly through the area after emergency crews cleared the scene and reopened the parkway.

Drivers had reported being stuck in backups for hours while the northbound lanes remained closed. A 511 traffic report indicated the shutdown was for a crash investigation.

Police have not yet said how many vehicles were involved or whether anyone was injured. Officials are also continuing to investigate what led to the crash.
