A 21-day challenge focused on improving racial equity is happening in the Hudson Valley.
Protests swept the Hudson Valley this past summer calling for change to combat systemic racism. Thats why the United Way of Westchester and Putnam is teaming up with the YWCA to take that first step through education.
The 21-day Racial Equity Challenge brings participants on a journey to reflect on the impact of racial inequity and social injustice in the community.
At least 1,300 people have signed up for the challenge.
Each day, an email and text are sent to people's phone with articles, podcasts and videos about different topics.
Organizers hope the challenge will build understanding and launch a commitment to improve equity.
A virtual reflection event will take place on the last day of the challenge on March 29.
