The Shero Awards highlight the efforts and accomplishments of women and girls who are making a difference in the lives of others.
Local leaders awarded three honorable women at the Michaelian Office Building on Martine Avenue for their contributions to the community. This year's honorees are Tara Linh Leaman, JD, Diane Rosenthal, Kisha D. Skipper.
"A very special evening to be in the company of such amazing remarkable women who have dedicated their life to social justice and improving opportunity for youth in Westchester County," says Diane Rosenthal.
"My life's work, my commitment is really not for my own benefit, really but to sow seeds, to plant seeds that I may never sit under. To make the future brighter for the generations ahead," says Kisha D. Skipper.
The women were awarded for significant impacts on children through the Youth Bureau program. It promotes positive youth development and encourages healthy lifestyles.
