3-vehicle crash on Route 17M injures 6
Six people, including a young child, were injured in a multi-vehicle car crash on Route 17M in Goshen Tuesday, police say.
According to officials, none of the injuries are considered life-threatening. One driver and one adult passenger were the only victims who were seriously hurt and had to be flown to the hospital.
Police say the accident happened when the driver of a Geo truck attempted to make an illegal U-turn on the busy highway, slamming into an oncoming Honda. A Jeep then crashed into the truck.
As a result of the crash, Route 17M was closed for more than an hour, and the accident caused heavy traffic back-ups on the parallel Route 17.
First responders say all the victims of the pile-up are expected to recover.
