A $30 million verdict has been awarded in a Boy Scout sex abuse case out of Sullivan County.
An attorney posing as a camp doctor was accused of drugging and abusing young campers in the 1980s.
Jeff Pringle was 16 years old at the time of the abuse. He says he was taken to the health lodge and injected with drugs by Paul Caillaud, who then sexually abused him.
Caillaud was arrested after the abuse in 1985 and pleaded guilty. He was placed on probation.
Pringle is pursuing a separate action in the Boy Scouts of America Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding.
