Attorney General Letitia James has secured a court order to stop gunmakers
from selling ghost guns in New York.
Gun manufacturers are legally supposed to mark guns with serial numbers
to help officials trace the gun back to the maker, seller and customer.
However, ghost guns are made from individual parts without a serial number.
James says 10 national companies will not only have to stop selling these gun
parts in the state, but they can't ship them here either.
James says she has a lawsuit pending against 10 companies in the Southern District
of New York.
