Police say employees were forced onto the ground of Virani Jewelers in Woodbridge’s Iselin community on Friday night by armed robbers – leaving them and the neighborhood shaken.

The masked robbers smashed glass displays and grabbed whatever they could be before fleeing. It was unclear how much they got away with. There were no serious injuries. No arrests have been made yet.

Businesses in the “Little India” area have since banded together to pool security footage for police.

Some are also looking into additional security measures, such as armed security guards.
