Amtrak service has resumed from New York City to New Haven after a fire.

Service has also resumed from New York City to Washington, D.C. after power line issues.

The fire started Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. at a facility on Bronxdale Avenue housing auto parts.

Fire officials responded to a separate fire at an Amtrak transformer about a quarter mile away, with multiple vehicles also on fire.

The cancellations left travelers at the New Rochelle train station scrambling to find new travel plans.

Passengers are advised to take Metro-North Railroad, which is honoring Amtrak tickets.
