The annual exotic car show in Nyack was on Thursday.
The car show also celebrated breast cancer survivors and raised awareness.
Gisela Vasquez was three months into her job in the Breast Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
"It was just so unreal, unimaginable that, you know, it could happen," says Vasquez.
After a year and a half of treatments, she's now cancer-free. It's more important to her now than ever to raise awareness and support patients and survivors.
"I know they're scared, because I was scared with survival numbers and the obvious being having an aggressive cancer," says Vasquez.
Vasquez is one of several breast cancer survivors that buckled up in exotic cars for the annual exotic car show in Nyack.
It's hosted by Nyack's Chamber of Commerce and the Montefiore Nyack Foundation. "We'll be doing a car processional in honor of them, in honor of their strength, in honor of their courage," says Tracie McLee, executive director of the Montefiore Nyack Foundation. "It's a way to showcase our amazing Breast Center that supports so many vulnerable women in this town."
The car show had over 300 exotic cars parked on Main Street for people to come see.
"These cars are certainly some of the most impressive vehicles on the road, so being able to get in and out of one on a day like this is something that I'm sure will boost their spirit," says Bill Batson, executive director of the Nyack Chamber of Commerce.
For Vasquez, it means the world.
"It brings me to tears because I didn't think I would get to this point," she says.
