A bill geared to help New Jersey’s growing film and digital media industry passes an Assembly committee.

The measure would update the state’s film and digital media tax credit program. It would require that original music and musical scores created for qualifying productions be produced and recorded domestically.

The bill’s sponsors say right now, much of that work is produced outside of the United States.
