The creator of the Bronx Night Market stated that safety concerns and struggles to find sponsorships forced the market to shut down in 2023.
However, the creator says the market will return thanks to the help of the city's Department of Transportation, Borough President Vanessa Gibson and the Fordham Road Business Improvement District.
