It's being called one of the most expensive recalls in history as Hyundai is recalling 82,000 electric cars globally.
The vehicles' batteries need to be replaced after 15 reports of car fires.
The fires took place outside of the U.S., and no one was hurt.
Replacing an entire battery on an electric car is an extreme measure. It requires a similar amount of work and expense as replacing an entire engine of a traditional gasoline-powered car.
