The Blind Brook-Rye Union Free School District is suing three construction firms over a multimillion-dollar renovation project.
The lawsuit alleges contract breaches, negligent acts and omissions that delayed the $45 million project for more than two years.
The district needed a $6 million loan to finish it, and the elementary school had to be temporarily closed in 2021.
One firm said it had not been served and had no comment, while the other two have not returned messages.
