Two teenage girls were injured after a 14-year-old boy took his parent?s car on a joyride through Middletown and crashed.
Police say the teen was driving when he almost hit a patrol car Tuesday night. The teen wouldn?t pull over for police and continued driving at a high rate of speed. Police say the driver then slammed head on into a tree, sending the backseat passenger flying into the windshield.
Police say the boy ran as they went to help the injured passengers but was apprehended after going to the hospital for his own injuries. Authorities may charge the teen because of the injuries to the girls.
