A breast cancer survivor from Hastings is hoping her medical battle will help other women in similar situations.
Lisa Konstadt underwent a double mastectomy, but decided against breast reconstruction surgery, against her doctors advise.
Now, she's encouraging cancer patients to listen to their "inner voice" when making important, potentially life-altering, decisions. "After a life of not really listening to my own inner voice, I connected with that voice to be able to make this decision. Connecting with that voice kind of changed the way that I live my life after that," says Konstadt.
Konstadt talks about her battle with cancer in her memoir - Flat as a Pancake.
