A system's cold front is moving through the Hudson Valley this morning, bringing rain showers to the region to start off the day.

Rain activity will fade into the morning commute with drier and breezy conditions to follow by midday. Expect that trend to continue into the afternoon.

High pressure moves in, bringing in a gradual cooler trend for the rest of the week and into the weekend. Highs will be at or slightly below the average high of 61 degrees.

A dry stretch of weather will unfold during that time with fair skies during the day.
