A Bronx woman appeared in court Monday to face allegations of setting a fire at the Village at Merritt Park Townhouses in Fishkill in April.
Police say Inez Feliciano, 32, set fire to seven back porches at the apartment complex - spanning three different buildings.
Emergency aid was required for 43 people at the time, but no one was seriously injured.
A New York state police investigator testified in court Monday that Feliciano had confessed to him last week that she put lit marijuana blunts on the trash on people's patios.
Feliciano is facing second-degree arson and second-degree criminal mischief charges.
Feliciano is being held in Dutchess County Jail while her case will now be sent to a county grand jury. No date has been set for her next court appearance.
