Dozens of people in Mount Vernon participated in a gardening program to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month on Monday.

The Bronxville Field Club hosted the event through its Volunteer Gardening Program, according to organizers.

Participants from the nonprofit All Abilities Beloved and Respected learned to plant vegetables for meals.

The initiative aimed to enhance confidence and communication skills.
