Camden man who tested positive for West Nile virus dies

Health officials say he was admitted to the hospital on July 16 with symptoms of the virus. He was treated and released to a local sub-acute care center where he died.

A Camden man in his 60s who tested positive for West Nile virus last month has died.
Health officials say he was admitted to the hospital on July 16 with symptoms of the virus. He was treated and released to a local sub-acute care center where he died.
His positive test result came in after his death.
West Nile Virus is the leading cause of mosquito-borne disease in the U.S.  Health officials say 4 out of 5 who are infected do not feel symptoms and only 1 in 50 develop serious illness.
