Some people
may soon be getting a fourth shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
New CDC
guidelines say people with certain health conditions that make them immunocompromised may
need another shot.
Those
people can get that fourth shot at least six months after getting
their third shot.
The CDC
authorized a third dose for immunocompromised people 18 and older in August.
A study
from Johns Hopkins University this summer showed vaccinated, immunocompromised people were
485 times more likely to end up in the hospital or die from COVID-19 compared to
most vaccinated people.
