What began as a routine traffic stop for a cellphone violation on the Cross County Parkway last week escalated into a major marijuana bust.

Westchester County police discovered 125 pounds of marijuana with a street value exceeding $100,000 during a search of the vehicle. Authorities also seized over $43,000 in cash.

Three men were arrested and charged with felony criminal possession of cannabis.
