Rockland County's hazardous materials team descended on a Nyack school Thursday after three unknown chemicals spilled, sending one staff member to the hospital.
The Rockland BOCES was evacuated as hazmat crews tried to determine what the chemicals were. They also found at least 15 other chemicals inside the building in unmarked containers. No students were at the school at the time, but a staff member was sent to Nyack Hospital after inhaling the fumes.
The hazmat teams determined the chemicals were cleaning agents. Classes will resume at Rockland BOCES as scheduled.
