Police arrested a 48-year-old Chester woman they say kidnapped an 11-year-old girl from a bus stop.
According to police, the girl was waiting to pick up her younger brother near her home in the Whispering Hills condo complex in November. Police say Tonia McHenry-Bailey, who lives across the street, watched the girl and then took her to her home. They say McHenry-Bailey held the girl there for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, a missing persons report went out after the younger brother alerted his parents, who called police. Police say McHenry-Bailey then released the girl. The alleged abductor was arrested last week and released after posting bail. She is scheduled to appear in court in January.
