A community is mourning the death of a 16-year-old girl brutally murdered by someone police say she knew.

Ryan Ross, 22, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Karesse Ebron, Thursday. Police say Ross beat and then buried Ebron's body after she told him she was pregnant with his child. Medical examiners say her body was too decomposed to tell if the pregnancy was true.

Ebron was reported missing by her family two weeks ago, and now the sign posted to help find her is being used as a memorial.
