Community to hold blood drive for North Salem SD kindergarten teacher who has leukemia

A Westchester County community is doing its part to honor a kindergarten teacher currently battling leukemia.
Victoria Lodewick, who works in the North Salem Central School District, has received more than 20 transfusions so far, thanks to donations from blood donors.
The community is partnering with New York Blood Center to hold a blood donation event Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pequenakonck Elementary School gym.
