5h agoA long-awaited memorial honoring firefighters who died in the line of duty is one step closer to completion in Rockland County.
After four years of planning, the Rockland County Volunteer Firefighters' Association and local leaders broke ground outside the county courthouse.
The monument will display the names of fallen heroes and offer a space for families, friends, and fellow firefighters to reflect.
Organizers said the site will include wheelchair access and ample parking for visitors.
