Attorney General Andrew Cuomo (D) began an 11-day trip this week to kick off his campaign for New York State governor.
"We need a new era of transparency and disclosure where the legislature understands they are elected by the people to serve the people" said Cuomo at a speech in Middletown Monday.
In his speech at the Middletown Library, Cuomo talked about his plans for ?right sizing? a government he says is too big. Cuomo, who is running against former Republican Congressman Rick Lazio, also mentioned his plans for putting a cap on local property taxes.
Cuomo and his three daughters plan to visit 62 counties over the next week and a half.
