5h agoA Westchester carting company and its manager have pleaded guilty to filing false financial records to hide a $135,000 strip club spree.
Westchester District Attorney Mimi Rocah says City Carting submitted false financial records and then allegedly tried to cover it up, saying it was business expenses.
City Carting will pay $5,000 in addition to separate fines levied against the company by the county, which terminated its contract.
City Carting had an annual $20 million contract with Westchester.
The Westchester DA's Office says Christopher Oxer, 37, of Darien, Connecticut, who is the manager of City Carting of Westchester, ran up $135,000 in credit card charges at Manhattan strip clubs but then disguised the charges, claiming the money was used for business expenses such as tires, maintenance and tolls.
Oxer is to get six months in jail when he is sentenced in August. That will run concurrent to his one-year federal prison sentence for tax fraud charges related to his conduct.
