A school bus ride home turned into a frightening ordeal in the City of Newburgh Monday after authorities say a “disorderly adult“ kicked and broke the glass window on the door of the bus.
The incident unfolded around 3:52 p.m. near 50 Lander St., according to city officials who confirmed the incident after News 12 received a tip from a viewer about the violence. The source said that children were on board the bus.
News 12 reached out to the Newburgh Enlarged City School District about the incident but has not heard back. A city spokesperson says the investigation is ongoing and that no further information will be released at this time.
