Boil water advisory in effect for residents and businesses in Edison

Edison Township sent out a notification to residents saying a water main break on Woodbridge Avenue has been repaired and that water pressure would be returning to residents in the effected area at 4:15 a.m.

Residents in Edison are dealing with a boil water advisory following a water main break.
Edison Township sent out a notification to residents saying a water main break on Woodbridge Avenue has been repaired and that water pressure would be returning to residents in the effected area at 4:15 a.m.
There is a systemwide boilwater advisory as a precaution for Edison Water Utility customers. Everyone is asked to bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute before consuming.
The break happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Officials say a private contractor was working at a construction site at Middlesex College on Woodbridge Avenue and hit a 20-inch water main.
Middlesex College’s Edison campus will be held remotely today due to issues with water pressure.
